Congratulations to all our summer readers

The 2020-21 Summer Reading Challenge has come to an end and we’d like to thank and congratulate all this year’s participants.

We hope you enjoyed your summer of reading, challenges and activities to become ‘Guardians of the Planet’. We’re now planning our next challenge and would love to hear your thoughts by completing our quick Summer Reading Challenge Survey.

Our highly successful Summer Reading Challenge is a free program delivered through the library to build school readiness and encourage children who are already in school to continue reading and developing their literacy skills over the long summer break.

Activities such as crosswords, word searches, making bird feeders, and building a worm farm were some of the challenges we ran for kids of all ages, families and members and can be completed multiple times!

This year we had almost 50 participants! Well done everyone.

A very special congratulations to our major prize winners James, Caleb, and Gabriel.

And remember, we’d love to hear your feedback about the Guardians of the Planet Summer Reading Challenge.
