In Fiction

First Person by Richard Flanagan

In 2014 Tasmanian author Richard Flanagan won the Booker Prize for his much-lauded novel, The Narrow Road To The Deep North. His latest offering is a smart, comic and intelligent satirical fable for our era, set in Australia. To some extent it is a blend of fact and fiction that draws on the author’s well known experience of ghost writing a memoir of a con man in the 1990s. As with many stories the truth is often stranger than fiction and lines blur between but it makes for great entertainment for the reader!
