What’s On – March 2018!

Think you know libraries? Think again.

Every month we work hard to present you with a fantastic selection of new, never before seen workshops and MARCH is no exception.

This month we’re heading out of the library to the Eaton Bowling Club for our new Have a Go series where you can come and try a new sport, hobby or activity for FREE.

Come down on Saturday 17th March and try your hand at barefoot bowls—it’s the perfect activity for the whole family.

We also have a NEW Sustainable Living workshop, which will alternate between Burekup and Dardanup each month.

These workshops will share helpful hints, tips and great ideas for how to save money and reduce your ecological footprint.

And if you’re missing our macramé workshops, why not come along to our Macramé Social Group?

Bring your projects and materials down to the Eaton Community Library and share your tips and tricks with like-minded people.

This is only a couple of teasers for what’s in store this month, so sit down, grab a cuppa and check out the full selection below.

Don’t forget… all our March Calendar of Activities and workshops are FREE but places are limited so BOOK NOW!

Our Waste Education program has been lucky to receive funding through the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions fund to hold a recycled art competition during the 17/18 summer school holidays and Term 1 2018. The competition is for primary school and high school aged children living within the six Council areas of Bunbury, Harvey, Capel, Collie, Dardanup and Donnybrook-Balingup. There are prize categories for individuals and groups and the competition will culminate with an exhibition at the Stirling Street Art Centre in May.

As part of the project, we will be engaging a professional artist to assist with a workshop in each of the Council areas. There will be recycled materials on hand for kids to create their art with or they are welcome to bring their own materials along. We may also sneak in a little presentation about waste and the impact on the environment.

Workshop places are limited, so please book your place.
